Qualification:

· Bachelor degree or above in mechanical & machining (other engineering excepted but only when proofed experience in machining engineering)

· More than 5-year working experience in machining area, among which 3-year direct experience in technical position similar to this level;

· Strong practical knowledge and experience of CNC machine controls and Robot/Manipulator Programming, tool offsets/changes, program changeovers

· Experience in the machining of die cast aluminum parts a definite asset. (Automotive Industry preferably).

· Familiar with TS16949, ISO14000

· Have good English language

· CMM experience would be an asset.

· Exposure to European Business practices and culture.

Job Scope:

· Develops CNC programming and maintains equipment, machine and tooling standards.

· Calculate & control machining cycle time and cost

· Proofs all CNC programs and maintains back-up files of all production CNC programs in company files.

· Troubleshoots quality issues relative to CNC equipment as well as downstream processes (assembly) which may be dependent on CNC processes.

· Monitors tool life and implements continuous improvement to extend tool life.

· Assists in the development of check fixtures and equipment or gauging to monitor CNC process stability.

· Develops job instructions, work procedures and trains operators and applicable staff as required.

· Recommend and initiate changes to continuously improve processes and tooling.
